On October 12th and 13th, beer lovers will unite in Walkerville for the Windsor Craft Beer Festival hosted by Windsor Eats and Motor Craft Ales. Instead of hosting the event in a hall, organizers are opting for a good ol’ fashioned neighbourhood party in a town that was created by the famous Whiskey Distiller Hiram Walker himself. In fact, many don’t know that he also started brewing beer in 1885 so there’s a pretty good chance that he would have loved this festival as much as the current locals do!
Local and craft brewers from across the United States will be slingin’ mugs in historic Willistead Park alongside local restaurants and a great live entertainment lineup. Voted as the best festival in the Lake Erie Region, the Windsor Craft Beer Festival is a wonderful showcase of brewing talent on both a local and national scale. It’s about celebrating local culture and the burgeoning craft beer movement taking place in Ontario and beyond.
Whether you’re a big craft beer fan or you’re just getting more adventurous on the beer front, bring some friends and raise a glass together to celebrate all the festival has to offer under the October night sky. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate for $27 and will get you admission into the festival as well as 10 tokens and a Windsor Craft Beer Festival sampling cup.
