There are some things you just never outgrow. And superheroes are certainly one of them.
Windsor ComiCon is inviting Windsorites young and old to come out to their 2018 event at Caesars Windsor and feel like a kid again. On September 29th & 30th, attendees can expect the same fun and fanfare of a typical ComiCon with loads of special events and added extras.
If you’re into cosplay or just admiring other people’s epic cosplay skills, you won’t want to miss the Cosplay competitions! The first competition or rather ‘Masquerade’ gives Cosplayers the ability to show off an alternate costume while acting out their favourite character in a theatrical format. This competition will be judged by a panel of individuals and will feature special guest Phil LaMarr. The second competition allows Cosplayers to showcase their latest creation in a more traditional format specific to Windsor ComiCon.
Multiple Q&A sessions will take place over the course of the two days with comic book creators like Richard Comely (Captain Canuck), artists like Daniel Turres, voice actors like Cal Dodd (Wolverine) and even a special appearance by every Canadian’s favourite TV show cast Degrassi Junior High! Be sure to check the schedule for all Q&A sessions as there’s a ton you won’t want to miss.
Interested in shopping? There will be plenty of booths set up selling action figures, comics, cosplay accessories, artwork and more. Or choose to spend your money on selfies and/or autographs with the event’s loaded celebrity guest list!
