Start your engines because on Saturday September 8th, the Wheels on Wyandotte Car & Motorcycle Show will be taking over Wyandotte Street in Riverside from 11am until 4pm! Whether you love to drive or you just enjoy admiring the craftsmanship of vehicles, there’s something for everyone at this free community event. 2017 brought with it a record number of attendees so it’s no surprise the Olde Riverside BIA is excited to host yet another successful event.
Safely tucked away in the west parking lot of 5745 Wyandotte Street East will be The Safety Village Little Jeeps course, Games on the Move and mini-golf and putting green. Visitors can also enjoy a BBQ, freshly popped kettle corn, mascots and balloons for the kids. If you’re a motorcycle lover, don’t forget to stop by 5455 Ouellette Avenue (in front of The Beer Store) to see all the cool bikes!
Cash prizes will be up for grabs for the Best In Show (car and motorcycle). So if you’ve got an awesome car/motorcycle and want to register, you’ll have a chance to bring home $50, $100 or even $200! The $10 registration fee also gets you a free Wheels on Wyandotte t-shirt with the new 2018 design.
In between all the fun activities, the event even manages to give back to the community. A silent auction and book sale at 5745 Wyandotte Street East will benefit Windsor Police Service’s Camp Brombal for Kids so be sure to stop by to show your support and check out the prizes.
While you’re in the area, the BIA is also encouraging visitors to stop into all the local businesses who sponsor the Wheels on Wyandotte event. Take advantage of some unique specials in one of the area’s many restaurants and enter your name into a draw to win Olde Riverside Dollars (first place $200, second place $100 and third place $50). Ballots will be available in the stores prior to the car show and the winners will be drawn at 3:45 p.m. on September 8th.
