County fairs have long been a tradition in Windsor-Essex County and the Comber Fair is an excellent example of one with rich history dating as far back as 1855. The fair has survived 2 world wars (among countless others) as well as numerous recessions and depressions throughout the decades, but this weekend, it’ll showcase the best of county living from produce to pies.
The 2018 entertainment lineup includes hypnotist Jeff West, singers Libby McGrath, Jen Knight, Dale Butler Gord Ciliska and a Johnny Cash tribute band. For you lovely family-oriented folk, on Saturday, August 11th starting at 1pm the main stage will feature “Dan the Music Man” who is sure to bring out the kid in all of us!
Looking for some fun? Visit the midway and pick up some tickets for your favourite rides. Want to soak in some real fair culture? Spend some time checking out the antique farm equipment, car show, demolition derby and pickup truck tug-o-war. Feeling competitive? Enter one of the many competitions or just check out the entries in categories like best baked goods, sewing project, flower, honey, vegetables, poultry, photography and more. No matter your mood, you won’t want to miss the parade on Saturday August 11th at 11am.
