Best Outdoor Pools in Windsor-Essex

Now that summer is officially here, you can beat the heat at one of the community’s awesome outdoor pools. Refreshing, fun, and a great way to socialize, here are this summer’s must-visit local pools:

Atkinson Pool

Location: 1981 Riverside Dr. W.

This heated pool has a great atmosphere and welcomes people of all ages. Located in the heart of the six-acre Atkinson Park, it’s great for active and leisure swimmers alike. Amenities include a wade pool, washrooms, and lifts for persons with disabilities.

Central Pool

Location: 3301 Woodland Ave.

Central Pool is an excellent place to take the family to get out of the sweltering heat. This accessible pool has spray features and in-water climbers, including an alligator, sea turtle, snake, and starfish. With a patio, beach entry, and a wading pool, you’ll want to check out Central Pool at least once this summer.

Lanspeary Pool

1250 Langlois Ave.

This lap pool is excellent for those who want to swim athletically or do so at their own pace. Complete with a diving board, lift, and a heater, Lanspeary is a great place to swim with minimal distractions.

LaSalle Outdoor Pool

Location: 1200 Front Rd.

Crystal-clear and conveniently located, this pool is LaSalle’s staple outdoor water attraction. Originally built in 1959 and redesigned in 1999, the LaSalle Outdoor Pool offers swimming lessons and recreational hours so everyone can cool off.

The outdoor facility has a shallow and deep end pool, diving board, lane markings, a slide, and a water umbrella.

Mic Mac Pool

1125 Prince Rd.

Located in one of Windsor’s top sports parks, Mic Mac is a heated swimming pool with an accompanying splash pad, public washrooms, and plenty of accessibility measures. It’s a hidden gem in Windsor’s West End.

Remington Booster Pool

701 Edinborough St.

For the young and young at heart, we definitely recommend stopping by the Remington Booster Pool. Not only does this facility have an excellent lap pool, but its tot pool with benches and spray features is perfect for younger visitors as well.

Riverside Centennial Pool

Location: 6695 Wyandotte St. E.

Riverside Centennial is one of the most diverse pools in the area. With a lap pool and an attached wade pool, beach entry, and water features galore, you’ll never be bored at this aquatic, outdoor playground.

Tecumseh Leisure Pool

Location: 590 Lacasse Blvd.

A lap pool, tot pool, and a big, orange water slide all in one place? You bet! The Tecumseh Leisure Pool gives visitors another reason to check out the Town of Tecumseh. With a snack bar, washrooms, and spray pad to boot, you’ll want to come back again and again. And with the pool’s Summer Swim Pass you can do that without breaking the bank!

There are lots of ways to cool off in Windsor-Essex this summer, but if you only have time to visit a few pools make sure they’re on this list!
