Immerse yourself in Essex’s fresh autumn scenery at the “Fall in Love” Street Party on Friday, September 29th.

This scenic gathering will recognize the change of seasons and allow visitors to see local businesses’ fall apparel. Sidewalk sales and tents full of Essex’s finest company displays will run along Talbot St. between Wilson Ave. and Arthur Ave. All visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favourite exhibit as the winner will receive an award at the Business Excellence Awards, to be held later in the fall.

As if there already won’t be enough hubbub on the street, visitors can enjoy live entertainment, to be provided by the Rio Michaels Trio, a kid zone, and a contest! This challenge prompts participants to build a mosaic comprised of smaller images hidden within local shops. Players will be given riddles to help them locate these pieces. But mind the clock! The hunt will end at 6:30 p.m. and be followed by a draw 6:45 p.m. The first three people to create a correct and complete image will win one of three fall Essex Centre Downtown Dollars program vouchers. These will be valued at $200, $150, and $100, respectively.

Don’t miss this big, warm welcoming of the new season. The only entrance fee is two non-perishable items per person, to be given to local food banks.
