The Walkerville 15th Annual Art Walk

The Walkerville BIA is proud to be hosting the 15th Annual Walkerville Art Walk on July 21st and 22nd , 2017. This community event brings together incredible local artists and creators with the small businesses, shops, and restaurants that call our neighborhood home.  It’s the perfect opportunity to eat, shop, and indulge in historic Walkerville.

This year the Art Walk boasts some exciting new additions and features, including:

  • Restaurant extended patios into the street, providing opportunity to relax and have a beverage or enjoy a snack or meal.
  • Art Attack, Windsor’s Motor-Makeover Movement. Local artists have painted murals and designs on otherwise abandoned and retired automobiles. These cars have been re-purposed to become a beautiful art installation, and we’re excited to be the first area in Windsor to display them!
  • Exodus Escape Room’s mobile game is an opportunity to see what escape rooms are all about. Search for clues, solve the puzzles, and find what you need to complete the task!
  • Live jazz and special treats along a Paris-themed section of Chilver, just south of Wyandotte.
  • An ice cream bar on the corner of Wyandotte and Argyle, hosted by Blackburn Radio…yum!
  • Face painting, live music, and so much more!

Wyandotte will be closed between Gladstone and Devonshire so visitors can explore over 45 local booths displaying and selling hand-crafted goods by foot or on their bike. The booths can be found in three different locations:

  • Wyandotte between Devonshire road and Kildare
  • Walter Kelly Funeral Home Parking lot
  • Willistead Restaurant parking lot

The Art Walk will take place on Friday, July 21st from 5 to 10 p.m., with extended patio and nightlife kicking until 2 a.m., and Saturday July 22nd from 11 a.m to 6 p.m., in which patio and nightlife will again continue until 2 a.m. Visitors can learn more about this event here and can use the #visitwalkerville and #walkervilleartwalk2017 hashtags to join the conversation online.
