Are you ready to have some fun? The Belle River-On the Lake BIA, the Town of Lakeshore, the Sunsplash Committee and local businesses are proud to provide residents and visitors with four days of action packed activities July 13-16th!
The Belle River Marina parking lot is home to The K of C Beer Tent on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which holds 1,000 people and will host the best entertainment around each evening.
The Lakeview Park amphitheater will feature live bands each night as well as a Sunsplash Idol Completion on Saturday night. Festival goers of all ages will enjoy a variety of fun, free and exciting activities carefully planned with them in mind. A Kids Fishing Derby, Sandcastle Competition, Chalk Art, a parade on Notre Dame Street, the SOLTRA Lawnmower Races and the Campbell Amusements Carnival are just some of the festival highlights!
Planning a weekend of fun for the whole family? Stop by and see the hundreds of classic cars that line Notre Dame Street every year on Friday July 14th from 1-8pm. The 16th Annual Classic Cruise Car Show attracts thousands of visitors from all over South-Western Ontario and parts of the United States. The classic cars, trucks, and sports cars are a car-lover’s dream. The best part? This event isn’t just a way to showcase the car owner’s pride and joy, but also a great way to attract people to the downtown core and showcase all the amazing local businesses.
Want to experience something unique? The CANAM Watercross National Tour will be at the West Beach on Saturday and Sunday. Come down to the lake to catch the Jet Ski action and take part in the excitement by meeting and mingling with the racers and crew.
The Sunsplash Festival is a fantastic example of how BIA Members, community members and dedicated volunteers can come together to showcase all that Lakeshore has to offer while providing a fun filled event for friends, families, and visitors. The Sunsplash Festival brings more than 25,000 people into our unique community so mark your calendars because July 13-16, 2017 is going to be a weekend to remember!
